Day 1 in Paradise we didn't do a whole lot.
We slept in and then headed to the grocery store to get supplies, as previous blogged about.
Then came back and made breakfast and relaxed on the patio prior to heading down to the pool.
We then worked out for an hour or so followed by lunch on the patio!
Followed by more pool/relaxing time. Joe headed down to the beach to snorkel!
That night we headed into the Whaler's Village, which is like the city center for Ka'appalli which had a lot of shops, restaurants, etc. We walked around for a while and decided to eat to the Hula Grill which had excellent recommendation via Rough Guide. Joe and I love rough guide because it helps point out places that are affordable and normally good.
We had the ceviche appetizer in coconut milk
Joe had a Mai Tia while I had a Mojito
I had Chicken Pineapple Thai Pizza- OMG do good- I ate half and Joe at the other half!
Joe had the fish Tacos which were also good.
Total price $50 with tip.
Not too bad by Hawaii standards.
Plus we had live music with a sun setting in the backround!
After dinner we just walked along the beach and talked. We walked by one of the hotels and got to see the fire dancers which was cool.
Nice relaxing first day in Maui!
Total cost: $170 (Groceries for the whole week and dinner!)
